The Hughes 9201 is a fully IP-compatible terminal certified for operation on Inmarsat’s BGAN global communications service. Rugged and easy to use, the 9201 enables simultaneous IP packet and circuit-switched data communications via standard USB, Ethernet, ISDN, and 802.11 WLAN interfaces. Lightweight, easy to set up and move. High-quality onboard Wi-Fi is increasingly becoming an expectation for today’s air travellers, and it can be a significant driver of customer loyalty. According to Inmarsat’s Inflight Connectivity Survey 2017, more than 70% of those who have experienced inflight connectivity believe it is a necessity rather than a luxury. As owner and operator of the world’s best global portfolio of satellite networks, Inmarsat offers the global superyacht fleet a new standard for global maritime satellite communications with crew welfare, regulatory and operational drivers at the heart. Inmarsat uses its awareness about the importance of superyacht crew communications. Jan 26, 2021 To meet global coverage requirements, the Global Xpress Inmarsat-5 satellites were designed with 89 nested spot beams that cover almost all of the visible earth in a honeycomb configuration. As users move across the globe, Global Xpress delivers a continuous, consistent service anywhere in the world – on land, at sea and in the air, as.

Product Details
Track and monitor your high-value assets with confidence. Vehicles, vessels, cargo containers, and more – once you equip your asset with a SAT-401 Satellite Terminal and deploy it in the field, the device automatically selects the most appropriate satellite and transmits its location and any additional message data via secure systems.
Powered by your asset, you can use the SAT-401 terminal in virtually all environments. It’s favored in remote regions where terrestrial communication cannot be relied upon.
Even more compact in size than its predecessor, the SAT-401 terminal provides global coverage. And it can be programmed to send and receive customized data from internal and external sensors – including temperature, humidity, vibration and shock.
- Uses the Inmarsat constellation of satellites and the IsatM2M standard, an affordable and reliable direct-to-desktop information service with fast and easy-to-use message handling.
- 3 fully configurable inputs/outputs for sensor monitoring.
- 1 open drain output suitable for driving relays and other indicators.
- Data-logging function includes GPS positions, transmissions and data for up to 20,000 entries, which you can access locally via the serial port.
- All transmissions are logged with a record of the time the message was created and, if applicable, when it was transmitted.

The partnership enables the organizations to combine their highly complementary, market-leading services to offer broadband connectivity, paired with high-value connectivity solutions to customers in the maritime, yachting and offshore energy sectors.
ITC Global will offer Inmarsat’s market-leading Fleet Xpress service, incorporating the Ka-band solution into its existing comprehensive range of Ku-band connectivity services. Fleet Xpress for Offshore is powered by the Global Xpress Ka-band network, combined with the proven reliability of Inmarsat’s flagship, FleetBroadband L-band service.
Delivering high data speeds, continuous connectivity and guaranteed performance, the Ka-band service - which is now installed on over 8,000 vessels - sets a new standard for maritime global communications, with crew welfare, regulatory and operational drivers at the heart. Benefits include affordable voice calls, multiple voice options for crew and operations and high-speed broadband for internet access, plus 24/7 online support by certified engineers. For offshore clients, Fleet Xpress provides added subscription flexibility to meet seasonal and short-term demand changes.
