This plugin adds simple audio/video input and output over IP using NewTek's NDI™ technology.
Three integrations are currently available:
- NDI Source: add NDI Sources into OBS like any traditional source
- NDI Output: transmit the main program view over NDI
- NDI Filter: a special OBS filter that outputs its parent OBS source to NDI (audio works only with video capture sources, media sources and VLC sources)
This plugin requires the NDI 3.0 Runtime to be installed on your system. See installation instructions on the Downloads page for more details.

VMix Desktop Capture for NDI is a free application for PC and Mac that can send the desktop, including audio of the local computer to any NDI compatible device on the network, not just vMix. Fullscreen Game Capture at up to 60fps on Windows 8.1 and 10 PCs. The package provides the installation files for FTDI USB Serial Port Driver version 2.12.16.0. If the driver is already installed on your system, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix various issues, add new functions, or just upgrade to the available version.

RNDIS driver is a part of the Windows 7 operating system, but the OS fails to detect it automatically. The following steps will help the user to install the RNDIS driver. After the device is connected to the development PC, OS will automatically search for the RNDIS driver. After it fails to find the driver, the following message will be.

  1. The streaming function has been improved as follows.
    1. The streaming will continue even if the signal from the camera is interrupted for a moment.
    2. The streaming will be performed correctly even when you change the IP address of the registered PTZ cameras.
    3. There was a problem which the streaming started when the Edit screen was closed. This problem has been fixed.

  4. Improvement
    • You can exit or minimize the apprication software window with UI of WindowsOS (the corner of screen 'x' or '-' buttons).
    • You can use the symbols for the account and the password of the cameras.
    • Streaming may stop when active camera was switched. This problem has been fixed.
    • The stability has been improved when the application restarts.

    • The delay of streaming video is reduced.

    • The following problems that occur on AW-HE130/AW-HR140 are fixed.
      • Playback may stop during video streaming.
      • After some time passes with the camera connected, it may go offline.
    • When the proxy is set up by Windows network settings, the camera is not recognized and remains offline. This problem is fixed.

Main Features

  • Through an application supported by USB cameras, it looks as if USB video and audio devices exist in the network.
    It is possible to receive video and audio from these devices and use them for recording, etc.
  • Up to 5 cameras can be registered.
  • Automatic detection of cameras is possible. Configuring the camera’s network settings is also possible.
